HAWKS BASKETBALL

2007-2008 SEASON INFORMATION

Welcome to Hawks Basketball! Our program is a competitive program for youth in 2nd- 5th grade. Basketball teams are put together based on current grade, not age. Teams are limited due to gym space availability. We do everything we can to place players on teams, but placement cannot be guaranteed. Players may register online until October 12th, 2007. The fee for Hawks Basketball is $145.00. After the October 12th deadline, a $15.00 additional fee will be imposed for any late registrations. Players register individually, but can request a coach if they are returning to a team. There is a $10.00 administrative fee for any and all cancelled or refunded registrations.

Volunteer Coaches are subject to a Background Check-form is available on the bottom of the Basketball page.

Basketball practice begins in November with teams typically meeting once or twice a week. Practices vary based on numbers of teams and gym availability. Hawks Basketball participates in the Arapahoe Youth League www.aylsports.com. The season runs December (with a break for the Christmas Holiday) through February with 8 regular season games and a season ending tournament. Games are played on Fridays and Saturdays at schools throughout the AYL.

There are 2 divisions of AYL basketball. (1) League is for more experienced
players who wish to play in a slightly less competitive arena. (0) League is
competitive basketball. Players will be placed based on previous experience and skill, so please note this in Comments section when you register online.

Uniforms are available at local sporting goods retailers such as Locker Room
Sports, Sports Authority. Please verify team placement and jersey number before purchasing a uniform.
